Casey Schewe, mother of Emma from Troop #3055, chose to give to a non-profit organization called Beds 4 Kids, which was founded in 2018 by Robyn Lee (whom Casey has known since childhood) and Chelsea Reese. Together, and with many volunteers, they make and provide beds and bedding accessories to kids that do not have beds of their own. Beds 4 Kids serves Chippewa, Barron and Dunn Counties and as of September, they have given 112 beds. The children that receive beds are in need due to circumstances beyond their control. Sometimes these children are in foster care, kinship care, just getting out of a homeless shelter, have lost possessions due to a house fire, or their family is just having a hard time.

Beds 4 Kids is entirely volunteer run, from building the beds to finding placements to marketing. Our $5,000 will help pay for mattresses, lumber, and supplies to make more beds.
