Laura Dahlke (Robin’s sister) and Brittney Schepp (girlfriend to Laura’s son, Jacob) are from the Weston, WI area near Wausau. Robin also used to live in Wausau when she was younger. Laura and Brittney wanted to donate to something special in their community and saw a need in the DC Everest Junior High (where Brittney works) to provide an opportunity for children with special needs to be able to go on field trips and do activities that normally aren’t available to them.

The Unified Pals program within the school allows regular education students to pair up with students in special education so that they may benefit from each other. This is one group that we would love to join on a field trip of some sort in the future, possibly even to cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers this Spring! $5,000 was given to this amazing cause and we know how much Jayna would have loved to see the smiles on these children’s faces!
